As per the public notice sign in the window of what used to be Malagueta Restaurant at 43 E. Colorado Boulevard, Pita Jungle will be debuting in that space shortly. While there is no confirmation that the new restaurant is a part of the Arizona chain (this may be the first CA location), if it is the menu looks to have something for everyone; hot or cold pitas, wood-fired pizzas, salads, soups and the like.
Pita Jungle seems to have a loyal following to go along with their many great reviews. I truly hope this is in fact the same Pita Jungle, as it would add a quick dining option for those looking to grab something on the run and continue shopping.
When is it going to be open??
From my understanding, Pita Jungle will open sometime around April. It is a franchise and they are having to get some licenses. I saw in one of their windows that they are hiring, but nothing has been done to the inside just yet.
