The latest chapter of Congregation Ale House will officially open this Sunday, December 4th at 11:00am. As I reported way back in March, Congregation took over the former Crown City Brewery spot at 300 S. Raymond Avenue with high hopes to resurrect the space. After a lengthy construction period, the restaurant/bar is finally set to make its Pasadena debut.
I recently walked through the space and really liked what they did both inside and out. In addition to bar seating and tables, there is a great outdoor patio with tables that look onto Central Park.
I really hope Pasadena embraces Congregation Ale House. With lunch starting at 11:30 on weekdays and 11:00 on weekends (with dinner following), I can really see this place taking off. It is a short walk from the Del Mar Gold Line stop and within a few block of Old Town.
Be one of the first to attend “mass” this Sunday, grab some beer and food and enjoy a game or two.

It is too bad that Crown City was forced out several years ago. We hope that the new place will be great but it will probably be more expensive and more uppity than Crown ever was.
