BevMo! will soon be opening its second Pasadena location in the former Ken Cranes space, located at 3730 E. Foothill Boulevard. The new store will be across the street from Whole Foods and will provide alcoholic beverages not only to the East Pasadena masses, but to the surrounding area as well.
I personally like BevMo!, if only for their 5 cent sale (which happens to be going on right now). However, I would rather give my business to Mission Liquors as they generally have a fantastic selection that is not found in your everyday wine sections of say Ralphs or Vons or wherever you might go for wine and they are a local business.
As BevMo! continues to build their empire, 110 stores and counting, I have to think that they are a great option for that space. The company generally gets it right on where they put stores and this space is no different.
So I have to ask, what are some of your favorite wines on the 5 cent sale? Will you be heading to the new location? What are your thoughts on the big alcoholic chain coming to East Pasadena?
